Tecno Pova 2 : A budgetier Battery BEAST but....
Hii readers, bloggers and people. This is my first time writting a blog and same writing my first review on a device. This review is based on my daily driver Tecno Pova 2 which has completed his first year of service. I purchased this device from amazon at INR 10999/- .During this 1 year, My daily driver has helped me a lot and somewhere it also gave me a pain, pain about operating system included in it. in this review, I will try to cover all the aspects of this device. the review will be partitioned in 4 parts, Specifications, Pros, Cons, Final verdict and Future considerations about device. So here we go...
So, First let's Begin with the specifications.
After covering pros of the device, now let's move to the cons of this device.
With all features, pros,cons covered. here is my final verdict.

With all the specifications covered, Let's move to the Pros of this device.
PROS :
- A Huge FHD Display, so content consumption will be good although it has Widevine L3 certification, but still can be used for watching videos and all. good angles.
- Big Battery of 7000Mah. in my moderate-heavy usage, lasts for 49-52+ Hours.
- 30-40FPS Gaming,No major heating issue.
- Decent Main camera according to price.
- All sensors provided in device.
- Video record support upto 2K 30FPS rather than limited upto 1080P 30FPS.
- Fast Side-FS.
- in UI, consists an edge panel which is useful to day to day life.
- 3.5mm Jack Output Decent.
- Type-C so Fast charging support.
CONS :
- Device too much heavy because of big battery. so it feels too much uncomfortable.
- Device way too big, two-handed device.
- 7000Mah Battery and charging rate 18W takes time more than 2 hours to charge.
- OS contains too much Bloats.
- lots of Ads in OS. if UI settings not changed properly, Ads may annoy.
- No ultrawide lens, only 48MP. all other useless lens.
- Sometimes EIS not calibrated properly, creates too much instability.
- poor mic quality. captures very less sound.
- No promise of android updates in future. only security patches for 2 years.
- UI is not friendly.
FINAL VERDICT :
Tecno Pova 2 is very sturdy device. Beacuse of battery, display and it's main camera, I trusted it a lot. But due to poor OS, it has became a pain to use. Recently it has got an issue of Auto-Restart which created a issue. The handset gets stuck in bootloop for minutes and after 4-5 restarts, It works as normal as if nothing has happened. I even contacted to carclcare service center where Tecno, Infinix, Itel Brand handsets are serviced. After contacting them, they said that it might be a major issue and they said to bring the device in center. after researching the issue, I found that various Pova 2 models even in Global Pova 2 models are facing the same auto-restart issue. i reached to conclusion that the brand has pushed such a update that might had cause this issue. I hope Brand resolve this issue as early as possible.FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS :
I have been a user of Tecno since 2018. Tecno camon i and after that Pova 2. But after seeing this much issues, I have decided that my next phone will be not of Tecno, I will be shifting to either Samsung or Motorola because of their good Software. One UI and My UX are way better than Tecno's HIOS system.
